Contest for Architectural Photos, MÉSZ-Cabinet

Riesz Abigél – A Vigadó kategória, 1. díj

In cooperation with the Cabinet, MÉSZ (the Association of Hungarian Architects) published a contest for architectural photos titled „Renewed Historic Monuments with a Fresh Eye”. Participants of this contest had to present the following sites viewing them with a novelty approach: the Main Square of the Nation – the remodelling of Kossuth Square; the facelifted Castle Garden Bazaar; the main building of the Ludovika designed by Mihály Pollack; the Vigadó (Redoute) of Pest under reconstruction; and finally the building of the Music Academy recently opened to the public after its high-standard exterior and interior reconstruction. In each of the five categories of the contest 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes have been awarded. Before the closure of the contest, an online public opinion polling was also conducted.
