The 14th International Architecture Exhibition, directed by Rem Koolhaas, will be held from Saturday 7th June to Sunday 23rd November 2014 at the Giardini and Arsenale venues.

The first exhibitions dedicated to architectural subjects were realized in the period 1975-1978 by the director of the Art section, Vittorio Gregotti. The Architecture section was established in 1980: director Paolo Portoghesi for the first time opened to visitors the Corderie dell’Arsenale venue, turning it into a “strada novissima”. The history of the Architecture Biennale has been continuing since then: in 2012 David Chipperfield directed the 13th edition of the exhibition.
