Brainstorming competition

The results of the „brainstorming” competition entitled The New Building of Sándor Weöres Theatre, Szombathely were announced on 28th of November, 2008. Out of the 36 applications 5 received prizes and 12 have been purchased. The next architectural competition of invitation published later on was based on the ideas included in the winning and purchased tender applications. Viewpoints taken into consideration when evaluating the designs were as follows: architectural quality, adjustment to the urban structure and environment, the degree of meeting the criteria of functions, cultural contents, economical executionability, maintainability and schedullable construction.
