This year again, the Hungarian Academy of Arts awarded prizes to outstanding personalities of Hungarian intellectual life, who have presented a unique oeuvre in the field of art, art theory, art organisation and/or art administration. Each year, the sections award prestigious prizes to two or three outstanding individuals, one of which, if viable, recognises the careers and achievements of artists and professionals from abroad. Architects Balázs Balogh and István Mányi have been awarded the Hungarian Academy of Arts Prize for Architecture.
