In February 2025, the Ministry of Construction and Transport announced an architectural design competition for the design of the Anthem Memorial in Szatmárcseke. The aim of the tender was to create a worthy architectural design for the birthplace of the Hungarian national anthem: a multi-functional, integrated cultural institution with visitor center functions, the central constituent of which would be a large-scale, interactive, state-of-the-art museum exhibition dedicated to the memory of Ferenc Kölcsey.

A total of 39 entries were submitted for this design competition. Based on the decision of the jury, the 1st prize was awarded to Gergő Turi, the 2nd prize to Tamás Emődi-Kiss, and the 3rd prize to Gergely Sztranyák, Veronika Sztranyák and Dániel Varga.
