The Results of the Competition of the MMA Section of Architecture

In the autumn of 2022, the Architecture section of the Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA, Magyar Művészeti Akadémia) announced its open competition for architectural themed ideas with cash prizes for architects, architects, engineers and interior designers under 40 years of age. The MMA usually also involves the local authorities of a municipality in the selection of the site. The 2022 call for proposals, titled „Lantos Museum Pécs 2022”, invited designs of a fictitious building that would present the intense relationship between the painter and artist-educator Ferenc Lantos (1929–2014) and nature in a building, with natural and environmental references and relationships, which at the same time would be a fitting memorial to the artist, who had associations with the city of Pécs.
