The role of design-build studios offering community services in education

“Design-build studio – New ways in architectural training” was the title of the symposium held in Berlin at the end of last year which made an increasingly powerful segment the international trend of architectural training palpable. The timeliness of this event lies in the fact that the past few years saw an increasing number of studies associated with the architectural faculties of universities where students can work on genuine projects as integral parts of their studies for various social groups ranging from concept creation to implementation.
