As far as its mass formation is concerned, the Community House in Nagybajom is not a reduction a single-principled public building, but the result of an addition which may be regarded accidental. Other kinds of mass relations, different types of roofing, terraces and roof terraces built at other points are also imagineable. Carefully designed details at the junction of the building parts with high and flat roofs and thus the lack of projecting eaves define the character of the building as such. Csaba Kovács cleverly balances between architecture without an architect and refined architecture. He did not use the self-evident typologies of a long-shaped peasant house along the lateral confines of the lot defined by its shape or that of a farm school building as a starting point. The result is a unique mixture of a family house and a school organized around a spacious dining-living area if we apply the terminology of residential buildings. This is where the „room” opens on the garden side of the lot farther from the street: it is actually a large study with mobile walls meeting the highest standards of acoustics which may be divided into three smaller studies for computers, language learning and playing drama. On the side of the lot towards the street there is a spacious entrance hall with a “wardrobe” from which the kitchenette and the washrooms open joined by the staircase leading to the attic.
