    Csaba Csontos began his career in the studio of his master, Lajos Zalaváry, along with his friend Miklós Dobozi. As a young architect his name is linked to the highest quality building of the early postmodern architecture in Hungary, the MTA Observatory in Piszkéstető. For many decades he took part in the reconstruction of the Festetics Castle in Kesztely. For this work he was honoured by MIklós Ybl Prize. A significant area of ​​his professional career was planning in the field of healthcare facilities, he worked on many reconstruction of hospital buildings. As Chairman of the Working Committee in the Chamber of Hungarian Architects, he played a significant role in the moral and financial valuation of architecture and increase its social acceptance.
