Photo Exhibition by the Association of Hungarian Architects
Várkert Bazaar, August 28th-September 9th, 2018
Text: Association of Hungarian Architects
At the end of August, the Association of Hungarian Architects organised an exhibition of photos recording recently facelifted historic monuments and the economization on our man-made values in the events hall of Castle Gardens Bazaar. This selection presents, among others, the renewed Bazaar itself as well as the Vigadó in Pest, including their interiors, the visitors’ centre of the Houses of Parliament, several historic buildings in both Budapest and the countryside, ranging from historic castles to public buildings. The photos on display show iconic buildings, each of which has been enriched with new spaces besides their exterior facelift. As a result, they host a wide variety of Hungarian culture, including art pieces of applied and associated arts. After Budapest, the exhibition tours several cities of the world, such as Shanghai, Athens, Oman and Rome.
