Piranesi Award 2017
International Architectural Exhibition
FUGA Budapest Center of Architecture, 17 January – 5 February 2018
Piran Days of Architecture (PiDA) is an International Architectural Conference with one of the oldest traditions in the world, whose aim is to assess current trends in architecture and present the most progressive and innovative ideas of architectural and spatial production. The conference is accompanied by several architectural exhibitions, the most important of which is the International Architectural Piranesi Exhibition, which present works from the previous two years. Each participating country – Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia and Slovenia – presents five projects that will compete for the Piranesi Award.
The participating faculties this year are Budapest, Graz, Ljubljana, Maribor, Pescara, Split, Thessaloniki, Trieste, Vienna and Zagreb, as well as the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. Each faculty sends two works designed during the last two years.
Piranesi Award is conferred since 1989, this year for the 29th time in a row. The international jury for the 29th Piranesi awards met on 17 November 2017 in Monfort Exhibition hall.
