Studio-House, Győr

The Department of Acrhitecture in Győr has been enriched with an old and yet new house: the tiny compressor house erected within the campus was transformed into a studio house with symbolic significance according to designs by Attila Bodrossy and Tamás Czigány. The re-assessment of the existing industrial building, its transformation for cultural functions and its recycling are all issues with relevance for the present: the knowledge and the approach of the architect may use such a hosue as an argument along with its engineering and artistic characteristics. What has been constructed there is influential and educational also in this sense.
