Anna Heringer – Dominique Gauzin-Müller: Form Follows Love – Intuitive Architecture from Bangladesh to Europe

Anna Heringer is a leading figure in the type of contemporary architecture using local building materials, bridging the gap between traditional and contemporary industrial adobe architecture in both developed and marginalised regions. In her works she uses design as a tool to support and empower those in need and to inspire others to create ethical and sustainable architecture. Combining this with a participatory and inclusive approach to design, she hits the bull’s eye of today’s architectural discourse in many ways. The book approaches the subject from a very particular angle: in a highly personal narrative written in the first person, the history and characteristics of the buildings gradually unfold, while the life story and professional and personal beliefs of the creator are also revealed.
